Nano-structured smart polymer films for drug delivery and biosensing
Various nanostructures are incorporated in electroactive conducting polymer films to infer unique properties for biomedical applications. In one project, multiwall carbon nanotubes are loaded with drug molecules in their inner cavity, and then encapsulated in conducting polymer films. Drug was released upon electrical switch.
